TrajectoryMap

The science behind TrajectoryMap

TrajectoryMap is grounded in developmental science and designed for everyday families. It translates well-established ideas about how children grow and learn into simple, visual insights that help parents recognize meaningful patterns.

Informed by developmental research

The framework reflects commonly recognized milestones and early-learning concepts. It organizes parent observations into five developmental domains to show how skills typically unfold over time.

Percentiles that offer context

Charts use percentiles to put current skills in age context: around the 50th percentile means “about average for age,” higher values indicate more advanced development, and lower values simply suggest areas where skills are still emerging. These numbers are descriptive, not judgments.

Balanced, whole-child view

Reports pair age-based context with patterns within the child’s own responses, highlighting personal strengths and steady growth areas — because every developmental path is unique.

For insight, not diagnosis

TrajectoryMap offers educational and developmental guidance. It does not diagnose, predict outcomes, or replace professional evaluation.
